Dominique and Ed’s wedding at Christ’s College Chapel in Cambridge

Henley and I headed off to Cambridge for the wedding of Dominique and Ed. Although meeting the couple beforehand, it was the first time we had been to Cambridge, and were practically salivating at seeing the beautiful college buildings, gardens and architecture as the whole town is steeped in so much history.

Dominique is a pastoral assistant at a London church so the ceremony was a poignant nuptial mass in the chapel of Christ’s College. Ed used to be part of the college choir so it was lovely to have his friends sing during the ceremony. All the clergy were dear friends of Dominiques, and it is without doubt, the most beautiful and personal church service I’ve witnessed especially as everything was so personal to the couple.

After the ceremony had ended we walked through the gorgeous college gardens and the streets of Cambridge for the evening reception at The Michaelhouse Cafe which is set in St Michaels Church in the heart of the city.

The couple met in Cambridge, so we wanted to not only capture their personalities in the couple photos, but also the surroundings which were so important and personal to them.

Dominique had hired Mintyslippers to shoot her wedding video so it  was great to catch up with Danny and Julie who we have known for a few years and are both always fantastic and professional to work with.

“Oh my goodness – we have literally just picked it up from the post office (I am in the car park now!) The cd is so beautiful – that photo is just GORGEOUS. There are not words to say how amazing the photographs are. We are beyond happy. My parents watched the slideshow and I was on the phone while she was in tears because they are so special.

We will cherish your photographs for ever. (I will send you a photo of our wall when we put them up!!)

Thank you SOOOO much,

Dominique & Ed xxxx”

Jessie and Matt’s London wedding at The Horniman Museum and Gardens

Jessie and Matt first met and fell in love when the band Matt sang with were hiring to play at Jessie’s bar in Thailand. He also runs a bar in Greece, and with them working at their bars as well as on Jessie’s fashion line based in both Thailand and the UK, they are always on the move. We had only met Jessie and Matt over Skype prior to their wedding, but after chatting, their infectious excitement and energy meant were really looking forward to meeting them in person on their wedding day.

They are both such positive, outgoing and laid back people, that they wanted a wedding which would show their personalities and relaxed nature. Jessie was brought up in Soho, so they chose the very beautiful St Giles in The Fields church in Soho for their wedding ceremony, and then The Hornimann Museum and Gardens in Forest Hill for their reception which was an apt choice being founded by Frederick John Horniman, a man who travelled all over the world on his quest to ‘Bring the world to Forest Hill’.

As singing and music are such a big part of Matt’s life, it was very important that they be a big feature of the day. Besides him and one of the ushers singing during the ceremony, music filled the day with another good friend of theirs playing guitar while everyone sang along on the bus. In the evening another friend of theirs filled the Horniman conservatory with some live DJing.

They have possibly one of the worlds most awesome dog, Mister T, who travels everywhere with them and was their ring-bearer during the ceremony, and joined the couple for their first dance.

The weather on the day was incredible, so the gardens and the elegant Victorian conservatory at The Horniman were the perfect setting and provided lots of light to work with. We also got to work with the brilliant Tim Fok and his assistant, who were their videographers for the day, and who we can highly recommend if you are looking for a wedding videographer.

Thank you Jessie and Matt for choosing us to capture your wonderful wedding day.

  • Jessica - If you are looking through this website in order to choose a wedding photographer for your special day, don’t bother looking any further!
Laura and Henley captured everything that we had hoped for AND MORE, we were absolutely blown away by the outstanding images that were captured from that day. We now have memories of every one of our guests enjoying the day, shot from interesting angles and with a stunning use of light and the surroundings! I myself am very into my photography and I honestly have never seen work this spectacular.
May I add that on the day it doesn’t feel invasive at all……their wonderful personas and charismatic ways of working mean you hardly notice you have photographers around you.
I couldn’t reccommend Limeleafweddings enough, their photos really do speak for themselves.
Thoroughly enjoyed being photographed by such talented people …..

St Audries wedding of Issy and James

St Audries is such a beautiful wedding venue, nestled in 100 acres of Deer Park in the Quantock Hills, it is perfect for a summer country house wedding like Issy and James’s. They are based in Godalming in Surrey but after discussing the sort of venue they were after to James’s mum (who lives in Somerset) she pointed them in the direction of St Audries which they completely fell in love with.

Issy has been married before and had always dreamed of getting married in a classic princess dress but had opted for a more demure gown for her first wedding. When James proposed and they started planning their day, she wasn’t going to pass up the chance to wear the dress of her dreams so set to work with a designer to create her perfect wedding dress.

Issy lives for music – she is a musical director at a school so it was lovely to see the choir from her school perform during the sun drenched ceremony in The Orangery as well as during the church blessing at St Etheldredas.

They had afternoon cream tea on the lawn followed by garden games before heading in to the banqueting hall for dinner and some very emotional speeches.

Helen and Chris’s summer wedding at River Cottage

I met Chris and Helen earlier this year and I dont think they had even sat down before we were chatting like old friends about everything under the sun. Having been together for twelve years, they decided it was finally time to get married (a point which was mentioned quite a lot throughout the day!).

Being based in London, they wanted a relaxed countryside feel for their wedding day and River Cottage was the perfect location. Their ceremony was at the idyllic countryside church of St Andrews in Monkton Wyld, which was such a lovely setting.

Helen and Chris are such warm people, who bounce off each other, and their friends and family were all just as lovely and outgoing, which made the day an absolute joy to photograph. The day was perfect – bright, sunny and absolutely roasting! The brilliant staff at River Cottage made sure that the drinks kept flowing and handed out umbrellas to shade everyone as they chatted and enjoyed the canapes.

You may or may not know that back in February 2012 there was a fire that gutted the 400 year old barn at River Cottage HQ that they had used for weddings. They have been hard at work rebuilding it, and Helen and Chris were the first couple to get hold their wedding reception in the newly finished barn which looks amazing.

Salcombe Harbour Hotel Promotional Advertising Photos

We were contacted by Wildfire whose client, Salcombe Harbour Hotel, was after some teaser photos for the recent refurbishment to attract interest and bookings for their re-opening in August 2013.

The key image was to have boat styled to reflect the feel and style of Salcombe, styling was done by Holly Keeling.

Below are the ‘raw’ photos before Wildfire created their posters and literature from them.
